Liz Agolli: Graduate Student

I received my BS in Biology from St. John's University in 2018. During my time there, I volunteered in the lab of Dr. Christopher Bassinet. His research focuses on the genes controlling D. melanogaster sperm length.

I entered the Ecology and Evolution Ph.D. program at the University of Illinois at Chicago in August of 2019, and have been a proud member of the Shingleton Lab ever since. For my PhD research I hope to further my understanding of sexual selection and study the plasticity of sexual characteristics in males and females.
